Hummingbird is a compliance platform used by investigators at banks, fintechs and crypto companies to investigate financial crime and report it to regulators. I was a product designer there, working across the platform, including self-service configuration, which let compliance teams build their own review types.
A little about me
Phil Rhie
I came up in the dial-up era, back when the internet was more of a place you visited than a place you lived. I studied CS, kept designing for the web after graduating, and grew into UX as the industry did — turns out following the work was a pretty good plan.
Fifteen years in, I've worked across agencies, venture-backed startups, and enterprise, picking up something different from each. I spent nearly five years at Experian, leading design on consumer financial products used by over 200 million members worldwide and developing the designers coming up behind me.
